  1. Rolf, just wanted to reach out to you personally. My heart breaks for you and your precious family! You are constantly in my thoughts and prayers. I remember with much fondness meeting you all last year at the UWP reunion in Tucson. One night we were all in the suite singing and talking as you held Rudy while he was sleeping. You had the sweetest look on your face as you watched your precious Rudy dream. You and your family are an inspiration to so many. I am praying for your strength as you navigate these very difficult waters, for your peace that only Christ can give, for your comfort knowing that Rudy is safe in the arms of Jesus Himself, for your rest each night, for your wisdom and discernment as you guide your family, for grace and mercy to abound in each situation as you make final arrangements for Rudy and your travels back to your home, and for your faith to not waver under the stress. You are loved! Melani

  17. Rudy, we love you, and look forward to a big hug when we meet again! We want to see you stand on the hearth and sing a goofy song with Livy, and watch you wrestle your big brothers….and maybe beat them this time. We’ll have ice cream sundaes and go for a long hike, (cuz then Marlin will be able to hike too!) Though we didn’t get to see you much, you were often in our thoughts and prayers. You will remain a beloved godson.
