In between getting settled here at home, we’ve been working on a couple slideshows to document Rudy’s journey and all the people who played a part in it. But Greg, being much more tech savvy (ya think?), got his discharge day slideshow up and posted today. So grateful to have such a record of a day we’ll never forget.
Check out Greg Lawler’s slideshow here.
Thanks so much, Greg!
What a gift! Rudy, as well as Greg’s talent to capture such a moment with elegance and spirit!
I am still crying! God is so faithful and good!
So very very beautiful.
What a great memory.
Wishing you God’s peace, grace and joy.
WOW! That was wonderful, and so beautiful.
Thanks for sharing these great photos with us.
Still praying for you all.
hugs and kisses.
I have to say my very favorite of so many remarkable, memorable and beautiful photos is the one where Rolf and Trish are touching fingers beneath the amazing boy they made and love and care for so well. Followed closely by any picture of Trish looking at either Rudy or Rolf – such naked joy is rarely seen. Thank you, Greg, for capturing it and thank you Geylings for sharing it. Somehow Holy Week is the richer for this wonderful story so perfectly captured on film. Thanks so much.

AWESOME!!!!!what a wonderful documentation of such a joyous event!
yawns, cries, expressions……are priceless……those eyes tell it all……God Bless…Dawn’s Mom
I am sitting here with tears running off my cheeks. Beautiful pictures. How blessed you are to bring your boy home. Thinking of you and praying for your family. I’m sure the fabulous staff at the PICU at UCLA miss your little guy!
AMAZING slide show!! What a great way to document the BEST DAY EVER!!!
I’m thrilled that Rudy was discharged, things are running smoothly at home and you are finally HOME!
It takes a while to get used to the meds, feeds, ect. Pretty soon, you’ll be doing it all in your sleep (seriously!)
I sat at my computer with a glass of good Chardonnay and toasted Trish, Rolf and sweet Rudy. Then I took another sip and toasted Liv, Max and Wilson. I wept through the slide show and praised God that I am able to see him working and reworking His masterpiece. Thank you for sharing your blessing and challenges with us. xxooR
I cried through the whole slideshow. I am so happy you are all home together. Love, Liz
God Bless You All!!! Cant wait to hold him at home!! xoxo
Thank you for the awesome slide show, so we could be there on the best day !!!
We love you.
Blessing and peace for you.
What a touching tribute to this part of the journey…it makes us feel like we were there with you all in that awesome elevator ride you’ve been looking forward to for SOOOO long.
Still praying for you all!
Love and blessings,
Chris and Lisa
i was in awe watching that slideshow, a testament to our God and to you guys who are really amazing. Our continued prayers for you all. Love, The Obregon’s
How blessed you guys are. Beautiful pictures, but can’t hold a candle to how incredible you all are in real life! Can’t wait to be around you and see Rudy up close and personal again , but in his own Casa!!!
I’m sorry but were Trish’s feet floating just a few inches off the ground when you were leaving? Best part of the slide show ….. Rudy got his ride on that elevator at last!, the look of joy on Trish’s face at that point (pure joy) , the great walk through the lobby and the I’d swear that the 2 of you were almost skipping as you walked up the sidewalk towards the garage.
All in all, a great homecoming.
Congratulations again.
Great show! Tori was so excited when she saw Livi. She said, “That’s who I wanted to see!” She was happy to see Rudy too!
I am typing through the tears. How beautiful and how happy I am for you all. I love you guys. Enjoy your Easter together.
A day for celebration ! An Easter celebration in every way ! I can only imagine the joy you all are feeling, and Rudy’s eyes just taking in all the new sights in his real home.
Love and blessings to all the Geylings.

What a beautiful day for celebration, and what a beautiful way to capture it! Rudy has had such a long journey — I’m so happy to see him home with all of those wonderful smiles surrounding him! I’m sad I missed the opportunity to give you all a goodbye hug, please know that I’m thinking about you all always and I wish you all the best!… and I have a little girl here that is looking forward to meeting our handsome little Rudy! 🙂
With lots of love and well-wishes,
Rosella.
WOW. That was just an amazing piece. I felt like I was there with you all! SO glad that you got to take the best elevator ride ever. We are rooting for you here. You guys are pros. Go Rudy go!
Love you so much.

Hope to visit Rudy on future wine-tasting trips your way. Sorry to have missed the big day but excited for you to finally have him home. You are an exceptional family and have touched all our hearts.
Forgot to say,… wine is better than New Year’s foley champagne. We’ll remember New Year’s Eve night and the concert with Dr. Marie and flashlight (not lighter) waving.
We both watched and cried and cried.David says that he is so thankful to god for all of his goodness and mercy. Love you both so very much.
I cannot tell you how excited I am for you guys and your family!!! It is so great to see him home. 🙂 I wish I could have been there to say bye to Rudy. I, of course, was on a much needed vacation with my own family. I wish everyone the best of luck and I can’t wait to see everyone again as a social visit when you finally miss us! For now, enjoy being at home!!!!
